As Christians living in the last days – a time of great uncertainty and upheaval – it can be easy to feel anxious and overwhelmed by the state of the world and the many challenges we face. But in the midst of these turbulent times, we can still achieve personal peace by trusting in God’s promises and resting in His presence.

The first step to achieving personal peace in the last days is to turn to God in prayer. The Bible tells us to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). We can bring our fears, worries, and concerns to Him, and He will give us peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

1 Peter 5:
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
Phillipians 4:
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Next, we can find peace by focusing on the promises of God’s Word. The Bible is full of promises of God’s love, faithfulness, and protection. We can meditate on these promises and let them sink deep into our hearts, knowing that God is always faithful to His Word. The greatest promise to Christians today is the Blessed Hope – the appearing of Jesus Christ in the air to remove us from this fallen world and taking us home to live with him for eternity.

Another way to achieve personal peace in the last days is to cultivate a mindset of gratitude. In the midst of trials and challenges, it can be easy to focus on what we lack or what is going wrong. But when we focus on the blessings that God has given us, our perspective shifts, and we can experience a sense of peace and contentment.

We can also find peace by serving others. Jesus taught us that it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). When we serve others, we take the focus off ourselves and our own problems and instead focus on meeting the needs of others. This can bring a sense of joy and fulfillment that can help us to experience personal peace, even in the midst of difficult times.

Finally, we can achieve personal peace in the last days by staying connected to a community of believers. We were not meant to face these challenges alone, but rather to support and encourage one another in our faith. By gathering together with other believers, we can find strength, comfort, and hope, knowing that we are not alone in our struggles.

In conclusion, achieving personal peace in the last days is possible by trusting in God’s promises, focusing on gratitude, serving others, and staying connected to a community of believers. We may not be able to control the state of the world around us, but we can choose to rest in God’s presence and find peace in His unfailing love and faithfulness. May we continue to turn to Him in prayer and seek His peace in all circumstances.
